FCBA Celebrates 50 Years

In 1959, a group of local builders got together to form an organization dedicated to the improvement of local housing and considering public affairs in the field of legislation, ethics, public information and research. They were awarded their charter as a local chapter of the National Association of Home Builders on September 27, 1959.

This year, the Frederick County Builders Association (FCBA) celebrates 50 years of championing quality, affordable housing and promoting professionalism among their members. Through partnerships with local charities, service organizations and the public sector, FCBA contributes to the community they are a part of.

Now the Frederick County Builders Association is looking to the future with an emphasis on Green Building and Sustainability. (In October 2010, they will host the first Choose Green Expo, featuring Green Living choices for consumers in both indoor and outdoor displays.) They will continue to strive to make Frederick County a great place to live and work.
